“What’s your favorite song of all time?”
Last night, The Significant Other* asked me an interesting question while trying to pick out a movie to watch from his ridiculous movie collection (and it’s a seriously ridic collection. I’ll take a picture to show you some day).
He asked, “What’s your favorite song of all time?” paused and then said “Take some time to think about it. Might take a week or two.”
My favorite song of all time? Are you effing kidding me?! That’s like asking a mother, “which of your children is your favorite?” Or asking a fat kid, “Cake or pie?”
You cannot choose one! There are too many different things to consider when making a choice like that.
After the initial shock of asking me to choose between all of my precious babies, it took me about 30 seconds to answer him and I was surprised at how easy it was.

When you hear a song you haven’t heard in a while
When you first hear the song, you’re like:
But then you slowly start remembering the beat:
You’re surprised you still remember all the words:
You start belting out the lyrics:
It’s just a party from then on out:

Insomniac posting
Can’t sleep, so I thought I’d answer one of those annoying “Getting to Know You” posts I’m constantly receiving on Facebook.
You’ve been tagged (as have I), you have the honor of copying all these goofy questions, writing your own response, and tagging 25 other victims. You have to tag me so really you just need 24 more people. If I tagged you, it’s because I want to know more about you, my friend.

On Trey v. Chris

A tale as old as time…
Two similar artists, with roughly the same background, roughly of the same age, performing within the same musical genre so OBVIOUSLY it makes sense for the industry to constantly pit one against the other.
Britney v. Christina!
Backstreet Boys v. N*Sync!
Eminem v. All Other Black Rappers!
And, of course, Trey Songz v. Chris Brown.
Obviously, I have a side within this fight. I’m #teamtreysangels.
So this post isn’t going to be about who is better (cuz really? One is a talented singer, constantly expanding his musical horizons and beating up the charts… and the other beats women is Chris Brown) as that’s already being debated in a gazillion different places across the internet.

The Y.I.T.C.D
One of my favorite things about music is that just hearing the opening beats to a song can take you back in time, instantly.
To your first kiss. To your first heart break. To that amazing weekend road-trip with your besties. To the birth of a child. Any time… any where… instantly.
Growing up, I had some seriously awesome friends. And my seriously awesome friends and I were constantly creating Mix CDs (y’know… like you do with your besties! I know I’m not alone here).
Little did I know that those epic volume Mix CDs would become the soundtrack of our youth… which is why I got all excited this past weekend when I found one of these epic CDs.
See the epic tracklist of the Y.I.T.C.D after the jump…
